After graduating from the University of Oregon, she returned to the Roseburg area to raise her family and has since become an integral part of the community. A former member of the varsity women’s track team at Oregon, Mary embodies the spirit of determination and teamwork.
Mary is actively involved in community initiatives, having coached high school track and participated in various bowling leagues. Her leadership extends to her role as President for the local Realtor Association, where she has served for over 10 years, and as a chair for committees benefiting non-profit organizations such as Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity. Currently, she serves as the Chair for the Community Cancer Center as well as a Director for the Umpqua Economic Development Partnership. Mary also oversees a non profit, The Mary Gilbert Seehawer Foundation, that provides financial assistance to cancer patients in the Greater Douglas County area.
With over 29 years of experience in real estate, Mary has owned her own office and worked with several franchise brands. Throughout her career, she has represented the interests of over 300 Realtors at the state and national levels and has consistently led her team to achieve top awards for families served and sales volume. In 2016 and 2024, Mary was honored as the Realtor of the Year by her peers in the Douglas County Association of Realtors.
